Hyperkalemia Cocktail Candle
Hyperkalemia Cocktail Candle
*Fall 2024 Limited Release*
We’d recommend this one on the rocks to make it a bit more palatable. Best taken in one quick swig. K?
When a patient walks into the emergency department with a severely elevated potassium level, it's called "hyperkalemia." They will receive a combination of medications to help normalize their potassium, and one of those medications may be a butterscotch smelling thick liquid. Despite the alluring smell, it isn't always the most popular among patients. The way that *I* would make it more palatable for patients was to pour it over ice, like a cocktail. This candle is inspired by this liquid medication on the rocks. I'm sure this product would be much preferable to taking the medication, though.
Notes of butterscotch, bourbon, and vanilla.
This candle is an especially great gift for nurses and other healthcare professionals who work in: emergency, critical care, cardiac care, telemetry, med surg
