Saline Flush Candle
Saline Flush Candle
A quick 10cc flush may not mentally transport you to your favorite ocean but hopefully this candle does the trick. If you’re lucky, you can taste the salt.
Nearly every single unit in a hospital utilizes the saline flush; a 10cc syringe pre-filled with sterile normal saline to be injected into an intravenous catheter to ensure patency and usability. It is a very salty substance, and although it is administered through an IV, many patients report that they get a brief taste of salt in their mouths. This candle is not too beachy or tropical, but rather it is inspired by the saltiness of the ocean lingering in the air.
Notes of sea kelp, salt, and white thyme.
This candle is an especially great gift for nurses and other healthcare professionals who work in: emergency, critical care, radiology, endoscopy, gastroenterology, pre op, surgery, PACU, labor & delivery, postpartum, med surg, telemetry, oncology, ortho, pediatrics, dentistry.
