Rolling eyes and rolling veins are often seen when drawing blood, but this candle is the equivalent to satisfaction of the collection after the rainbow.

The butterfly needle is the smallest type of straight stick needle used to collect blood during a blood draw and a "rainbow" is referring to the array of colorful tubes used to collect blood. Many patients believe that a "butterfly" is the only device that works, and those most skilled in venipuncture know this is probably not true. The relief felt to both the patient and staff when a successful blood draw is completed may be equivalent to the sweet smell of the earth following a heavy rainfall and watching a rainbow appear. This candle evokes a similar feeling, as you inhale the fresh and earthy fragrance comparable to the earth after a heavy rainfall.

Notes of petrichor, sweet greens, and wet earth.

This candle is an especially great gift for nurses and other healthcare professionals who work in: phlebotomy, emergency department, med/surg, critical care.

Product Info

Candles in the PRN collections are made with 7oz (198g) of a paraffin blended wax. Lots of misconceptions exist surrounding the usage of paraffin wax so for more information please read through the info page which can be found here! A wooden wick is used for the optimal burn, and you may notice that some candles have a smaller or larger wooden wick than others; this is to ensure the safest burn possible. SO much testing goes into every candle.

Total burn time is approximately 40 hours, but never let your candle burn longer than 3-4 hours at a time!

This product is packaged in an amber, glass jar finished with a plastic, black lid. A warning label can be found on the bottom of the candle.

Basic Candle Care

  • On the first burn, let the wax melt all the way to the jar’s edge to prevent tunneling.
  • Keep the wick trimmed to ¼ inch before every burn for a longer-lasting, cleaner candle.
  • Burn for 3–4 hours at a time for the best scent throw and minimal soot.
  • Place candles on a flat, heat-safe surface away from drafts or heat sources.

Disclaimer

Each candle is handmade in small batches, which means you may notice small quirks like slightly off-centered wicks, minor jar markings, or uneven labels. None of these affect burn quality or fragrance.

Scent is deeply personal, and while I pour love into every blend, I know not every fragrance will be everyone’s favorite. If you’re unsure about a scent, I’m always happy to answer questions before you buy.
